Canada Trip Day 5 Monday, June 28, 2004

On Wednesday, we left Deerhurst and headed for Burlington. After a little trip down memory lane (ie. we saw 3 of the houses the Robisons lived in) we checked into the Holiday Inn. That night we went to the Jarvis' house for a wonderful BBQ and a little reunion with some old Burlington friends.

On Thursday we headed for Toronto were we stayed at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. Before checking in, we went to the Ontario Science Center.

We explored the new kids section, then headed over to the sports area.

Next, we visited the sound/music section.

After that, we checked out the human body. We all try out the aging machine, but it only worked right for Jeremy, so now we all know what he will look like in 50 years. I took some time checking out the pregnancy section and showed the kids what little Emily looks like right now.

Canada Trip Day 6 and 7

On Friday, we enjoyed some shopping and eating. After a wonderful Greek meal, we headed for Kinsington Market and the Eaton Center.

Thurday night, Reid Sr and Diane went to see "Hairspray". On Friday night, Reid Justin and I went to see "Mama Mia", while the boys went to see "Urine town". It is really amazing that you could find so many good shows in one city. To top it off, all 3 theaters were with in walking distance to the hotel.

Speaking of the hotel, the Fairmont Royal York received the award for the best beds. Their down duvets and plush pillows made for a wonderful night sleep. They also had the fanciest decor for beds.

On Saturday, we had a quick tour of little Italy, and enjoyed some wonderful Italian food.

Then it was back to the airport. It was a wonderful trip. The trip back home was much faster than on the way to Canada.

Canada Trip Day 4

Wednesday was our last morning at Deerhurst. Since it was sunny, we stuck around after we checked out and enjoyed the sunshine and the lake.

First, Reid, me, Dallin and Amanda went out for a family canoe ride. The kids loved it. It was very relaxing.

Reid went sailing once again. I think that was his favorite.

The "boys" took some kayacks out and went with us to explore a quiet area that was much like a river.

When we asked Dallin at the end of the trip which hotel he liked best, he pick deerhurst. He loved swimming, playing in the sand, arts and crafts with Becky, the kitchen in his hotel room, and sharing a bed with Amanda. (OK, maybe that was my favorite part:)

Canada Trip Day 1 Sunday, June 27, 2004

The first day we spent in Muskoka at Deerhurst Resort.

It was Father's day, so we enjoyed a Brunch full of good food. Everybodies favorite was the desserts.

Before we went for our Brunch, we opened Father's day presents in Grandma and Grandpa's Room.

The rest of the day was enjoyed as a family soaking up the sun in the beautiful surroundings.

We also had a little church and enjoyed watching some of Jeremy's EFY video on Spiritual Surgery.

Canada Trip Day 3

Tuesday was our one rainy/cloudy day. We made the best of it by trying to ignore it. The kids other favorite thing (besides swimming) was playing in the sand.

This also seemed to be Grandma and Grandpa's specialty. Grandpa really made a hit with the kids when he made a river for them. Dallin was very impressed that Grandma could make any animal shape out of sand. The kids played for hours in the sand.

Luckly, it didn't rain the whole day. We even got out on the lake. Reid Justin took a sailing lesson and then took each of us out for a ride. I had a hard time being on the little sailboat too long. My big tummy got in the way of me leaning forward so that I wouldn't fall into the lake.

The lake was a beautiful site, but it was also very cold. Nothing could stop Jeremy from getting in. Dallin was the only one that didn't think Jeremy was crazy. They do seem to have more in common than just liking to dance in cold water.

We ended the day with a marshmellow roast on the beach. Then all the adults got ready for a fancy dinner while the kids made more crafts with there favorite babysitter Becky.

Canada Trip Day 2

On Monday, the kids went off to a kids club, while the adults enjoyed golf and spas.

We also played a little tennis.

In the afternoon, the boys went to play golf and the girls and kids stayed behind and went to the pool.

Amanda and Dallin both have this new love for swimming. Dallin loves his goggles. If he has them on, his head is in the water more often than it is out of the water.

We enjoyed all the "boats" we could take out on the lake.

Amanda's 3rd Birthday Wednesday, June 2, 2004

Amanda had a wonderful party this weekend up at Boise. She loved knowing that we were going to have her party at Rachel, Julia and Graces house. Her party was full of the things she loved . . .

Family, Food, and Fun! We started it off with pin the nose on Amanda.

Then we did a pink and purple princess pinata (say that one 3 times fast).

After eating some candy from the pinata, we played duck, duck, princess (or prince).

To top it off, Amanda cut her own icecream cake with a knife. Now that she is 3, she can use a butter knife (she used to cry when she was giving a knife with dinner, so this solves that problem).We all enjoyed pizza for lunch. Needless to say, some of us got a little tummy ache from the combo of candy, cake, icecream, and pizza. Amanda loved it though. She opened her presents and thought they were all great! She has played with each present plenty. Thanks to all for coming!
