New Years Eve Party Monday, January 15, 2007

The kids eat icecream cones early in the evening

The Staley's came to visit us for a little New Years Eve Party. John flew out the next day to go to the best bowl game of all times . . . the Fiesta Bowl. But before he left, we had a little party of our own.

Jer and Kar came to our house too. Jer was so nice to bring his new Wii. John made chocolate chip cookies.

We also ate shrimp, had lots of sparkling cider, hot artichoke dip, and of coarse John's chocolate chip cookies.

The kids also loved playing the Wii. Rachel and Julia now want one for their birthday. Dallin and Amanda wanted to stay up til midnight, but Amanda didn't make it. She asked to go to bed 15 minutes before midnight. The babies went to bed early too. Dallin Julia and Rachel had fun running around our path outside and banging pots and pans when it turned to midnight.

I always wondered how they got Sylie to be such a good girl :)

Let it Snow!

This week we got hit by a big snow storm. It has been so cold here that there is still snow on the ground. Diane came back from the West Indies for a few Dr. appointments, so it has been non-stop party at our house. Joelle came down for another visit to see Diane. We just hung out and did some shopping.

On Sat. we went sledding. Dallin now loves sledding (we used to have to beg him to do it). Emily and Amanda liked it too, but they didn't want to do it over and over again like their big brother.

It has been so cold that Emily's toes were a little purple when she woke up Sunday. She even had pjs with footies and her feet were still cold. I bundled her up in the morning, but she loves to change clothes throughout the day, so before we knew it she was in only a ballet skirt in front of the heater.

Emily loves to go to church. She loves nursrey too, even without Mom and Dad in their with her.
