Dallin wanted to play some golf today, so while Lisa was at a baby shower, Dallin & Amanda worked on their golf swings.

We used to do a lot of running together when Dallin was a baby, but nowadays we just can't seem to fit 3 kids in a baby jogger. So we found the perfect solution where we could trade off -- a team triathlon. 
Lisa's friend Deborah agreed to do the 500 yard swim. I did the 8 mile bike ride, and Lisa ran the 5k.
The swimming came first. Deborah had been practicing and finished in less than 12 minutes.
Next was the bike ride, which took me 35 minutes to complete, including 2 wipe outs and the chain falling off.
The 5k was full of hills, but Lisa did it in less than 29 minutes to finish off the race.

Can you spot Amanda in this photo? After spending a year or two in a friend's garage, the 1969 Land Rover is finally ready for the road. 
The kids enjoy sunday drives in the old Land Rover, and Dallin likes it when we drive it to school. This original British 4x4 gets quite varied reactions -- from the old lady who says 'That's the ugliest car I've ever seen' to the young guys who yell out 'Nice car dude...'
By the way, the sale of our house is official. We closed on Tuesday (4/12/05) and we are now RENTERS. No we haven't moved anywhere.. we're just renting out our current house until May 13th when we invade the newlyweds and the emptynesters in Provo for a while.

One fun thing that Emily does is give you kisses. If you make a kissing sound at her, she will give you a kissing sound back. She loves playing this game.
The kids have been growing up so much. Since January, they have both grown 1 inch! Dallin is doing great with his reading. He enjoys reading, and is reading at a 1st or 2nd grade level. He must be a natural, because nobody really taught him.
The kids love making crafts. We made bathtub paints the other night. They loved painting and taking a bath at the same time.
Amanda's spring concert is the same night as the wedding party, so her teacher invited me to come watch a rehersal of the songs they would be singing. I will try to put a video on here of her singing later on tonight.

We saw horses, pigs, cows, turkeys, ducks, chickens, and even the farm cat.
The highlight of the trip was a tracker/hay ride.
There was also a treehouse that the kids enjoyed playing in.

Yesterday was Karenin's Bridal Shower. We met at Jenny's house for food, fun, and presents. First everyone introduced themselves. Karenin has lots of family here for being from Honduras. We met her Aunts, friends, cousins, Grandma and her mother. 
Next we opened presents. She got lots of things for her kitchen and a few things for her bed. She also got a few things for the wedding night.
After the presents, Karenin played a game where she tried to guess the anwers to questions that Jeremy had answered earlier via video tape. Karenin did very well with her answers.
Then, before we ate, Karenin did some belly dancing for all of us. That was very fun to watch, but it was even more fun when she convinced Diane, Jenny, and I to come up and give it a try. After we were done, some other guests gave it a try. Did you know that Karenin's Grandpa was born in Bethleham? They say that she is so good at belly dancing because it is in her blood.
Things got really exciting when people started shoving money at Karenin for dancing.
Last we ate wonderful food. We had tamales, and beans, along with chocolate dipped strawberries and cream puffs.

Last night Reid played in an irish band at a medical school event. They played a couple "Flogging Molly" songs, including 'Worst Day Since Yesterday' and 'Every Dog Has Its Day'. 
Reid played the bass guitar. All of the other people in the band are medical students as well. You can watch a movie of each song in the VIDEO section of this website.

Future location of our home
While the Coverley's skied and the other saw the sites, Reid and I went to buy a lot in Summit Park (on your way to Park City). We are planning on building a home there. It is the spot just ahead of the van on the right.
Jr, Jackson, Daniel, Amanda and Dallin line up for Easter egg hunt
On Sunday we had an Easter Egg Hunt in the morning, then went to Church and then had everyone plus over for Sunday dinner. The Robison's also came for dinner. Their kitchen is currently under construction, so we were happy to have them for Sunday dinner for once. Kevin also got to hang out with us once he got his car towed from Park City.

On Saturday, Reid and I took the kids up to the Canyon's Ski Resort for a morning of skiing, while TIVO recorded the morning sesion of Conference. 
I watched the kids and enjoyed the sun while Reid took turns skiing with the kids. Amanda was brave enough to go on the chair lift, while Dallin thought the rope tow was just the right size for him.
We had a bite of lunch, and then enjoyed the tram rides. Emily was content to stay in her stroller the whole time. 
The kids did great for their first time. We are looking forward to stay in Salt Lake and become a skiing family.
