I think we made the world's quickest visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center. On the last day of the trip, we had a few minutes to spare so we went to BYU hawaii and found Jeremy's mission companion. 
His companion is from New Zealand and works at the PCC doing the Maori shows, so he got us in to see his show. He called Jeremy up ito practice warrior moves (see video section for some funny footage)... the crowd loved it.
Jeremy got his face painted maori style afterwards and had some fun with the other warriors.

On our last day in Hawaii we got a group kiteboarding lesson.
It's pretty much wakeboarding without the boat. You hook 10-16 foot kite to your body via a 50 foot line that you can control with a handle. Then you slip a wakeboard on your feet and let the wind drag you around. If you jump, you can sail up to 40 feet in the air.

In light of Jamie's recent mission call, we decided to take a brothers-only trip to Hawaii for some pre-mission fun. This is a picture of Jamie posing in a bar on the first floor of our hotel. Take a look at the sign above Jamie's head. Unfortunately, they wouldn't make us any virgin Mai-Tai's... "if I take out the rum, that would just be plain old passion-fruit," said the bartender. We could sometimes hear drunk people singing 'Oops I did it again' all the on the 11th floor though. 
On day one, we rented some gear from Snorkel Bob and set off for Haunama bay. After unsuccessfuly trying to sneak in to avoid the obligatory nature preserve video, we finally made it to the water. We accomplished our goal of finding a sea turtle and followed it all around the reef. The video taught us that state law prohibits harassing sea turtles, so we decided not to bring the cute little guy home.
After snorkeling, we made our way to the North shore to watch the Vans triple crown surf competition. The competition was cancelled due to choppy conditions, so we rented some boards and decided to have a contest of our own.
The competition was fierce and Jamie got pretty banged up before earning his title. Jeremy's steering skills were sub-par, and he ran into Jamie's rear end with a surf board, tearing right through his favorite baby blue board shorts. I think this is what gave Jamie the final boost of adrenaline he needed to win the competition.
That night, we wandered aimlessly around Waikiki and ran into some interesting people. There was the guy dressed from head to toe in newspaper... then the 7 foot tall man covered in some strange white substance.... and of course the dog wearing orange sunglasses with a mouse on his back.

Jamie received a phone call from the mailman today saying that his mission call was at the post office. What a neat thing for the mailman to do. We gathered and 3 p.m. and got Joelle on the phone.....and Jamie opened his call to the Calgary, Alberta Mission. He enters the MTC on February 9th.

Here Jamie is all set to open his mission call. The family is gathered around. It is 3 p.m. in the afternoon. Jamie has not peaked at the call by holding the envelope up to the light.

The family is not complete without having Joelle with us. Here Joelle is on the line as the family anxiously awaits the opening of the envelope.
It's official...Elder Robison, you are hereby called to serve....Canada Calgary Mission
It is official. Diane's guess of British Columbia was closest because part of British Columbia is in the mission. Joelle guessed Montana and Reid guessed Montreal...two other close votes....but the real winner is Elder James Adams Robison, called to serve in the Canada Calgary Mission (the mission of Lisa's Dad, the mission of the birthplace of Grandpa Robison, the mission that represents the homeland of Jamie) beginning February 9, 2005.
Emily is now 8 weeks old. Her favorite pass time is smiling. She will smile at anyone who talks to her. She smiles mostly in the morning, after a good nights sleep. 
I was tending another baby today, and I was holding him because he was sad. Emily just looked at him and started to smile! She is so well tempered.
My lastest theory is that mothers who have easy deliveries have easy going babies. What do you think? That has been the case for my babies.
