Christmas Party Sunday, December 17, 2006

We had a little family Christmas party last night.

Jenny, Jason, Taylor, Cooper, Jeremy, Karenin, & Sylie came over.

The kids decorated cookies and we had a meal of appetizers.

We filmed a nativity (see the video section of this site), then went to temple square to see the lights.

Thanksgiving Friday, November 24, 2006

Family at the table. Dallin is off to the left,
Lisa is taking the pix, and Emily is watching Dora

It was my very first time cooking a whole Thanksgiving meal. After a run, I started cooking and finally stopped after 2 and 1/2 hours. After a nap I was able to finish up with Reid Justin's help. Soon Jer, Kar, Sylie, and Kev showed up to help us eat all of the food. It all tasted really good.

It was a nice day. The kids played outside for about 2 hours.

They love the backyard!

Before the feast, the kids enjoyed playing outside and Emily took a long nap.

Mom's big helper

Emily enjoys helping cook. She is just so grown up now. She talks all the time and tells me that she is cute after I do her hair.

Sylie liked the swing outside. She didn't nap the whole time,

but she was happy when held.

Pumpkins Monday, October 30, 2006

The kids had fun carving pumpkins tonight. They made their parents do the dirty work though (scoop out the guts).

Here they are.

"How are we going to get the snow out of our house?" Sunday, October 29, 2006

We took a sunday drive to Park City this morning to see how the house is coming along. It is finally beginning to look like a house. Here is a picture of the kids standing in their bedrooms.
It snowed quite a bit before the trusses were on. As the kids walked through they asked "how are we going to get the snow out of our house?". Here's a view out the kitchen window and back door.

It was fun for them to see where the different rooms will be.

The backyard will be a good place for sledding.

Monster Mash

Jenny's halloween party was a success.

Dallin was Raphael and Amanda was angelina Ballerina.

There was a pinata for the kids.

Emily wanted to change her costume at the last minute. She was going to be a doggie but she wanted to wear her daddy's dora costume instead.

The kids danced to the monster mash while the adults ate caramel apples.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Wednesday, October 25, 2006

Dallin's costume arrived in the mail yesterday. Lisa got it for him on ebay. He tried it on and he just loves being a ninja turtle. He made himself some little swords in ceramics class to go with the costume.

Say a prayer for our sod... it snowed today, so I hope it survives. We had such good weather earlier this week. I even got a little bit of a sunburn while laying the sod, but now it's buried in snow.

Speaking of ebay, we sold the land rover. It will be shipped off to kentucky tomorrow. :(

Mom's media Tuesday, October 24, 2006

I am using two different websites to post news, images, and video. I would put it all on Robisonhq but I want some things accessable to our missionary's families. I also would like to get some discussion going and I don't know how to do that on robison. The vox site supports video and is more text heavy. Flickr is great for photos but doesn't take video. I am still trying to figure out what is best for my purposes.

Tram Ride Monday, October 23, 2006

On Saturday, we decided to take a tram ride up at snowbird. We weren't expecting so much snow up there.

And we definitely weren't prepared for the 20 degree weather (it was 50 degrees at our house).

We had fun and took a few pictures.

The grass is greener...

We finally have grass in our backyard. The weather started to get cold so we had to hurry up and get the yard ready for sod. Reid laid 800 square feet of sod this afternoon and still has 400 more to go.

Here's Dallin and Amanda on Sunday afternoon.

Pesty Sister Monday, October 16, 2006

I was working the computer when I heard Taylor playing with Cooper. I went over to check things out, and I found Taylor playing dressup with Coop.

Cousins Friday, October 13, 2006

Tessa and Grace are here for a week while their mommy and daddy and living large on a lake powell yacht.

It seems like every time the kids get together, they start to get eachother sick. We thought we were home free because they were all pretty healthy at the start. (Joelle was evening giving her kids airborne to boost up their immune systems for the germ fest).

Good thing Joelle doesn't have internet access on the boat, or else she'd be able to read this and find out that Dallin and Emily have STREP throat. Dallin had a fever, sore throat, and felt pretty wiped out. His rapid strep test came back positive faster than the doctors office had ever seen. Emily hasn't really been acting sickk, but she has strep too.

They're having a blast playing with eachother. Dallin and Emily have a few doses of Amoxicillin in them, and with a little tylenol dallin is as good as new.

Grace and Amanda are sharing a room in the basement, and Tessa and Emily have cribs next to eachother in the girls room upstairs.
