There's a park up by the zoo in Salt Lake that just installed a fun new playground designed by a danish child psychologist (http://www.kompan.com/sw835.asp). We thought we'd take the kids to test it out.
The kids loved it, including emily. She just laughed as we spun her around.
We brought a picnic dinner but the kids didn't want to stop and eat.

Just when it feels like we're finally moving into this house, we're about to be kicked out. 
The kitchen floor is done so we were able to move our appliances into the kitchen from the living room where they have been camping out for 3 weeks.
The hardwood floor crew has been hard at work, sanding up a storm in here. On Tuesday they're going to stain our hallways and we have to stay off it for 12 hours.. twice. So we've been trying priceline for a hotel room for a couple nights. 
Our dumpster isn't coming for a while so our backyard is a little white trash at the moment.
Our bathroom is the latest development, with travertine running the walls and around the tub.

Our basement was pretty bare until last night when we stumbled upon a new piece of furniture for our house: a love sac.
The kids love it but it sure was hard to stuff into our van.

Today we went to find out what all the talk was about with Gardnervillage. We found witches in the air and a lot of people. We just walked around and looked in a couple stores. (Anything to get out of our house!) We found Archibald Gardners headstone. Archibald is the brother of Robert Gardner Jr. Robert Gardner Jr is my Great Great Grandpa? 
Dallin lost his first tooth today. He noticed that it was loose on Sunday when he was eating an apple. Today (Tuesday) he was wiggling it on the way home from the store. It fell out. I was on the phone with Reid and Dallin was so polite that he waited until after I got off the phone to tell me!
Amanda had Howdy day at school on Friday. She loves preschool and comes home each day telling me all about all the friends she made and singing all of the songs she learned. She sings the loudest of any kids in her school. If you don't believe me, come to her Halloween concert the last Friday of the month.

There's already a story about Dallin's birthday on here, and I know it happened 2 months ago, but here are some more pictures. 
Dallin got to pick the restaurant and he chose PF Chang. Here's a picture of him using chop sticks.
Here's Dallin opening presents with Amanda watching closely. Notice the rug underneath. It's a signature Robison piece. We made it with Grandma Diane a while back for her blue and green motif.
Grandpa brought back an FBI shirt from his trip to DC.

Here's the lot where we're building our house.
The fall colours up there are just amazing, but its already pretty chilly at 7000 ft.
Here's what it will looklike outside our backdoor and kitchen window. There's a row of aspen in the backyard, then our lot extends up the hill there for the kids to explore. Maybe a tree house? 
Our basement will walk out towards the neighbor that you see in this picture. We're a couple months behind schedule and there's not even a foundation yet. It's scheduled for this week, and the contractor thinks he can make his January 1st deadline, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Here is a Google Earth image of our neighborhood. You should check out http://earth.google.com/ if you haven't used that program yet. It's pretty amazing. Lets you look down at your own house. It's the best way to get directions because it will actually fly you from own point to the next along satellite photos of the roads you'll take.

Here are some pictures from Dallin's first day of school one month ago. He was really excited for school to start, and I dropped him off his first day. 
When it was time for me to leave, Dallin got a little scared and started to cry. I was finally able to sneak away and Dallin had a great time.
His teacher says he's way ahead in his reading skills. Dallin's favorite part of school is lunch. He usually gets to pick out a hot lunch from the cafeteria, then he plays with his friends on the playground.

For family home evening, we decided to ride the trax downtown to the gateway for an ice cream treat. 
The kids loved it, and we had some yummy 'chocolate therapy' ice cream, but we were all pretty tired at the end. On the way home, a drunk teenager sat down and chatted with us for a while.
