Hawaii with Twins Friday, February 19, 2010

In Oct. we went on an adventure that we would never forget . . . we took the whole family to Hawaii! Reid had a conference there, so we decided to get out of the house and go for it. We haven't been on a vacation since, so maybe it was more traumatizing then I realize. The plane ride there was ok. The babies would cry for about 10 minutes as they fell asleep. The tricky part was keeping them to sleep. You couldn't move, and eventually you either had to go to the bathroom, or a body part fell asleep on you. The older kids did great. They just took care of themselves and each other. Once we got to Hawaii, I felt like it was all worth it. We had a hotel room with 2 bedrooms and a living area, so the babies got all their naps in, and the older kids got to watch TV in their beds.

Here's my late comment. Wow...that brings back lots of fun memories...the beach, the water, the sun, the food. We went to Hawaii once almost 40 years ago and I would go back in a second if I got the chance.

I will invite you to go next time we do. (but are you sure you want to be on the plane with us?)
